Mark your calendars, December 11th, 8:30am - 10:30am and invite spouses, friends and neighbors to join in wishing one another a Merry Christmas by enjoying a Southern breakfast, singing, praising the Lord and ending with an inspired message from a former Falcon star Wallace Francis.

 

There are excellent facilities at the Pickens County Chamber of Commerce thereby providing an ideal opportunity to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas. Wallace Francis

After high school he attended college at University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1973. In that same year, he was drafted by the Buffalo Bills to play professional football. As a rookie player he led the American Football Conference in kickoff returns, and touchdowns. In 1975 he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons. He became the team leader in receptions in 1978 & 1979 and was voted the Falcon’s player of the year by his teammates in 1979.

In 1982, Wallace heard God’s call to ministry and he retired from football to attend Bible School in Greenville South Carolina. In 1985 he began the ministry Youth Outreach Unlimited with a focus to disciple youth in the Christian faith.

Wallace joined Ambassadors for Christ International in 1990 to be a part of a ministry that works primarily with local churches and ministries leaders to equip the saints for the work of ministry. The AFCI-USA motto is “Revival in the Church…Evangelism through the Church… and Training for the Church Worldwide.” In January 2001, Wallace was elected as the National Director of Ambassadors for Christ International-USA. As National Director and chairman of the U.S.A. Ministry Council, he endeavors to maintain the ministry’s vision, oversee the ministry’s expansion of the Team and communicate the ministry’s mission and purpose.

Wallace and his wife, Cheryl, live in Douglasville, Georgia and they have four grown children: Brittany, Micah, Matthew, and Carmen.
